The exquisite Hermes Himalaya Birkin has been hailed as the ‘Holy Grail’ of handbags. It is made of Niloticus crocodile, rendered in a subtle coloration that is meant to evoke images of the majestic Himalayan mountains. The process of dyeing a crocodile hide is very time consuming and gets extremely difficult as the shade lightens. The Himalaya Birkin takes atleast 48 hours to create, according to Christie’s auction house, and has a six-year waiting list. Or, you could get this one from us now! Pristine from 2008, never used, with plastic still on some of the palladium hardware.
