For a night out in white might I suggest one of these 3 beauts? Now let’s just cut to the chase and gaze at that AMAZING cubic zirconia belt! I don’t know much about it other than it came out of an estate in Montreal. Perhaps Persian? Being cubic zirconias, that would date it to post 1960’s. She may just need to sprout some lips in order to tell us the rest of her story.

Chocolate hues and vining grapes set the tone for this label heavy autumn display. Go from day to cocktail hour in that one-pocketed Prada on the right with a toss of the cardigan/blazer. It’s a super versatile workhorse of a dress! That centre Pucci- not so much. It’s more of a show pony, meant to dazzle your on-lookers with it’s fab print and poet sleeves. Separates are not to be overlooked over on the left. Dior ruffles and ribbons abound on that romantic crochet cardigan. It’s paired with a warm wool Celine pleated skirt which would look sweet with some tall leather boots. And there is loads more in store kittens!

I’m kinda super pumped up to showcase this navy and white window to you for a couple of reasons. But first I should express my diplomatic love for all three of these looks. Like children, they are all special in their own way.  Now that said, we all have our favorites…. Mine just happens to be that 1970’s Roger Freres in the centre. It’s so epically chic! From it’s tank style top to it’s modern polka dot design to the fabric itself. I researched/googled to try and find out what exactly this fabric is called but to no avail. It’s comprised of a overcast stitched piping (?) that is looped and then sewn all together.  If you’re a textile geek like me and have any idea as to what it’s called, please let me know. Just click the pic to zoom on in.

My second fav item in this week’s window is that Lanvin 1970’s lucite necklace on the left. We’ve only had 3 Lanvin modernist pieces through the shop in the past 11 years, so it’s truly a treat. What’s your eye drawn to?

Aren’t these red and white dresses just juicy?!? I do believe that they were made for sipping sangrias in. How to-die-for-summer-chic is that runway Dolce & Gabbana piece in the centre? From the peppermint stripes to the lady sitting on the waistband holding a sequined beach ball to the 3-D beaded starfish, to the EVERYTHING! It’s summer 2017, in a dress. I hope you enjoy this window as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

These soft yellows are springing us into our long weekend. We have Queen Victoria and her birthday to thank for the extra day off on Monday.  Ever wonder what Vicky thought of the colour yellow? Well, from our very brief research we discovered that her drawing room was decorated all in amber tones. So we’re going to take a long shot and say that her late Majesty would approve of this display. Enjoy your weekend!
